Cake Turners & Omelet Pans
Cake turners are flat tinware, enameled ware, or aluminum squares with
long handles, for turning pancakes on the griddle.
Omelet pans are made in two parts and hinged in the middle. The sides are
perpendicular so that when the pan is closed one half fits exactly over the other. An equal amount of
the mixture or batter is placed in each side, and when the omelet is half done
the pan is closed and the double omelet is on one side. These pans are also
used for preparing hashed brown potatoes and other dishes.
