Au Gratin Potato Recipe
Ingredients for Potatoes au Gratin: 2 table-spoons of butter;
1 pint baked potatoes; 1 table-spoonful of flour; 1/8 cupful grated
cheese; 2 cupfuls of milk; ½ cupful fine bread crumbs; yolks
of 2 eggs; seasoning.
Melt the butter, after that add the flour, and boil for a minute. Stir
in the milk until the sauce thickens perfectly smooth. Add the seasoning
and the beaten eggs. Slice the potatoes and place in a deep baking-dish.
Pour the sauce over them, after that sprinkle over the top the grated
cheese and the bread crumbs. Brown lightly in a hot oven for about 10 or so minutes. Serve your au gratin potatoes at once.
Sweet Potatoes au Gratin
Same as potatoes au gratin, using instead the sweet potato.
