Pot Cleaners
Pot cleaners are of several kinds. One style is of woven or of knitted cloth
with copper tinsel woven in, the sharp edges of which act like knives. These
can be used on all kinds of ware, but it is not wise to use them on tinned ware,
as they are likely to scratch off the coating of tin and thus expose the iron
to rust.
The wire ring pot cleaners are not so sharp as the copper tinsel variety,
but are especially good for heavy pots.
Plate scrapers are flat rubber pieces used to scrape food particles from dishes
before washing.
Still another style is a small metal plate with a sharp knifelike edge.
