Fried Raw Potatoes Recipe

Slice crosswise ½ a dozen potatoes very thinas thin as wafers. Melt in a frying-pan 1 table-spoonful each of lard and butter. When this boils, place in it the sliced potatoes. Season them, after that cover tightly to let the steam assist in the cooking, and fry to a golden brown, turning them when necessary. To be served piping hot.
