Broiled Chicken
Recipe for broiled chicken homemade style. Broil the usual way and when completely finished take it your chicken in a square tin or dripping pan, butter it well, season with salt and pepper and place it in the oven for a couple of minutes. Lay slices of moistened buttered toast on a platter; take the chicken up over it, add to the gravy in the pan part of a cup of cream, if you have it; if not, use milk. Thicken with some flour and pour over the broiled chicken. |
